Hot lead, for your first customer
A hot lead is someone who is highly interested in your product and needs it, has a budget and is very willing to buy. That’s really the best lead you can have. And the 6 month program is not full time, nor is it exclusive. On average, you’ll spend about half a day per week meeting with your mentor, discussing ideas and progress with your challenge owner (client) and taking workshops to hone your skills. And you’re an entrepreneur, so we don’t expect you to put all your eggs in one basket. In fact, we encourage you to work with more clients.
A lot of startups think they need to find an investor to grow their business, but working together with a (first) customer is even better. It’s a great and hands on way to learn and grow at the same time and figure out what really works. And of course you don’t lose equity.
Learn to work with and for complex organizations
Working with the government can be tricky for startups, because there are so many rules and regulations when it comes to an official procurement or tender. With Startup in Residence, we took care of all those complex procedures for you to make it as easy as possible.
Mentoring from an awesome and experienced entrepreneur
We’re not a startup school, so we won’t tell you which workshops you need to take. Instead, we’ve tried to make the program as flexible and tailored to your needs as possible. You’ll be matched with an experienced and successful entrepreneur from Groningen as your mentor, and together you’ll decide on the things you really need.
